Villa Kaneo is situated in the old town of Ohrid, in the Kaneo settlement. In past times this was a fishing settlement and today it is one of the most attractive tourist locations. The settlement Kaneo is located in a small bay of the Lake, next to the famous picturesque Church from the end of the 13th century, St. John the Theologian, ( landmark of the entire city), and close to the many other cultural monuments: The Church of St. Clement and St. Panteleimon, (The First Slavic University, the Early Christian Basilicas with magnificent mosaics, Tsar Samuel's Fortress, Antic Theater, the Galery of Icons, the Church Mother of God Peribleptos and many others. A lot of above mentioned locations are used as an open-air theatre stage during the international and world renowed Ohrid Summer Festival. ( Julu 12- August 20) You can park your car on the parking above the settlement and walk down to the villa. There is no car access to any of the houses in Kaneo which makes the settlement extremly peaceful. It takes 10 minutes to walk from the settlement Kaneo to the center of town. As alternative, from the city center you can reach the settlement by boat. |
Villa Dudan is located in the center of the town, 50 meters from the lakeshore and 10 minutes walk from the old town of Ohrid. This location is very convenient for fast and easy communication to all destinations. Parking is available . |
